Zurich Partners With TheNoor App To Offer Three-Month Free Personal Accident Coverage

Zurich Malaysia has partnered with TheNoor, a Muslim lifestyle app, to offer three months of free personal accident (PA) coverage to users who purchase TheNoor’s limited edition Touch ‘n Go (TNG) cards via the app.

According to a statement by Zurich, the PA plan is built upon shariah principles, and it offers comprehensive coverage for accidental death, permanent disability, and hospital income. It will be provided to the first 30,000 TheNoor users who make the required TNG card purchase, made available on a first-come first-served basis.

Zurich also stated that the cost of the three-month free coverage will be jointly covered by both Zurich General Takaful Malaysia and TheNoor. Zurich General Takaful will pay for the first month, whereas TheNoor will cover for the subsequent two months. Upon expiration of the offer, users who wish to continue subscribing to the PA coverage can do so at the affordable price of RM1 per month.

The chief executive officer of Zurich General Takaful, Nazrul Hisham Abdul Hamid said that the collaboration aims to better meet evolving customer needs, especially given the technological advancements that allow people to live and learn differently from before. “We want app users to have convenient access to affordable protection with the right Zurich products to enhance their lives. Customers can now have PA protection with just a few taps through the app,” he said.

Meanwhile, the chief executive officer of TheNoor, Noor Neelofa binti Mohd Noor said that she is pleased to be working with Zurich General Takaful to offer a unique PA plan to app users. “We have made it easy for users to obtain protection directly from the app via our new feature ‘TheNoor Commerce’. As a token of appreciation for members who applied for the TheNoor TNG card, we are happy to provide two additional months of coverage on top of the first month free PA coverage provided by Zurich General Takaful,” she said.
