UOB Campaign Offers Cashback Prizes Of Up To RM10,000 For Debit, Credit Cardholders

UOB is currently running its Malaysia Mid Year campaign, which allows its debit and credit cardmembers a chance to win weekly and monthly cashback prizes, in addition to three top prizes of up to RM10,000 cashback. Ongoing until 22 August 2022, cardholders who wish to join will need to register their participation and earn entries by spending RM100 via their cards during the campaign period.

Specifically, the prizes that are on offer include the following:

In addition to these, there is actually also a special prize for top spenders on Visa cards (based on highest cumulative transaction amount), in the form of a return trip to the FIFA World Cup (2022) in Qatar. Two winners will be chosen for this particular prize.

To stand a chance of winning the above prizes, you’ll need to earn entries to participate in the campaign. Eligible cardholders can earn a specified number of entries for every RM100 that they spend on their cards for different transactions, as detailed in the following table:

Note that eligible expenses for this campaign include online and offline retail purchases. Transactions such as balance transfers, easy payment plans, as well as cash advances are excluded.

Upon earning your entries, UOB will then randomly select its cashback winners using an automated selection system. Meanwhile, those shortlisted to win the grand, second, and third prize will need to go through an extra hurdle; the bank will contact these individuals via SMS within 12 weeks after the end of the campaign period, after which they will be required to answer one question correctly. A similar procedure also applies to those who are shortlisted to win the special prize for top spenders on Visa cards.

If you do win cashback rewards via this campaign, it will be credited into your account within 16 weeks after the end of the campaign. Similarly, winners of the special Visa top spender prize will also receive their rewards within the same time period – but via delivery.

Do note that each cardmember is only allowed to win a maximum of two prizes throughout the whole campaign period. UOB also clarified that it has allocated a total of RM228,000 as cashback rewards for this campaign.

To join UOB’s Malaysia Mid Year campaign, go ahead and register your participation by sending an SMS (“U3“) to 66300. Alternatively, you can do so online via the campaign’s landing page. You’ll receive an acknowledgement message if your registration is successful, after which you can go ahead and begin earning your entries.
