Kids Fly For Free From Penang With Firefly
Author Avatar

Now that air travel services have resumed to full capacity, many have taken the opportunity to travel again. After being in lockdown for around 2 years, this may be a good time to make those suspended travel plans or family visits you’ve been anticipating a reality.

If you’re ready to fly again, Firefly has recently launched the ‘Kids Fly For Free’ campaign that is available to children aged from two to 12 years old. The exciting offer is limited to one child per adult and is applicable for travels departing from Penang between 15 August to 31 October 2022.

Read on to learn more.

Kids Fly For Free

For those who are thinking of making up for lost opportunities, taking their children on their first plane ride, or creating cherished memories in a new environment, the ‘Kids Fly For Free’ offer could not come at a better time as travel services resume.

To enjoy this offer, you will need to book any flights with the Boeing 737-800 jets travelling from Penang to Langkawi, Johor Bharu, Kuching, Kota Kinabalu, and even Phuket in Thailand, before the campaign ends on 14 August 2022.

You’ll have to then upgrade your ticket to a Plus, Extra, or Flex package which comes with added benefits that include anything from unlimited date or time change for your flights up to two hours prior to your scheduled flight departure to the Firefly Travel Protection insurance.  And voila, your kids can now fly for free!

Not only that, just for this campaign, Firefly has planned a special junior meal for your children that comes with two options – egg fried with smiley potatoes or chicken nuggets with smiley potatoes, peas or corn.

More Perks, More Fun

The Plus, Extra, or Flex bundles give passengers access to additional services that will make their experience more enjoyable. With these packages, you get extra baggage allowance up to 40kg, flexibility to change your flight, priority baggage, seat selection, travel insurance, and in-flight hot meals.

In addition, you will also be able to freshen up before your flight at the SkyLounge located in Subang Skypark Terminal Mezzanine Floor. As Firefly is part of the Malaysia Aviation Group and subsidiary of national carrier Malaysia Airlines, you are entitled to Enrich Points, which you can claim for your future travels.

Last April, Firefly launched the Plus, Extra, or Flex packages for flights from Penang to Johor Bharu, Kuching, and Kota Kinabalu operated on the Boeing 737-800 jets.

* Preferred & Desired Seats are subject to availability

Taking Flight Again

With the launch of the new Plus, Extra, or Flex services, Firefly is looking forward to reinstating domestic and international flights in the near future. Firefly has recently recommenced flights to Singapore via Seletar, departing from Subang. Passengers can expect Firefly to recommence its services to Phuket in Thailand, adding more international routes and choices for the customers, this August.

To further ease your experience, ticket  booking can be made online via Firefly’s official website and mobile app. Otherwise, you can do so at booking offices and travel agents as well.

With Firefly’s latest campaign, it would be opportune to take advantage of the offer and haul your family on a much-deserved holiday. Moreover, the Plus, Extra, or Flex packages would make for an even smoother experience with its various benefits such as travel insurance, seat selection, priority baggage, and more.
