RinggitPlus Launches Free Financial Health Check Tool For All Malaysians
Author Avatar

(Update: The RinggitPlus Financial Health Check tool has been discontinued.)

As more Malaysians come to understand the importance of financial literacy and are looking at how they can improve their financial health, RinggitPlus and mangro have developed RinggitPlus Financial Health Check, an assessment tool that is fully conducted online and is free of charge.

What is the RinggitPlus Financial Health Check tool?

As its name suggests, the RinggitPlus Financial Health Check tool is a product that was developed to help you check your financial health, giving you an immediate overview of how your finances look like, and some recommendations to improve them. Tapping into the expertise of our licensed financial planners (CFPs) and the technological know-how of our partner, the tool will let you review your performance in seven key areas:

  • Cash flow
  • Debt management
  • Estate planning
  • Insurance
  • Investment
  • Retirement
  • Taxes

Best of all, the process takes minutes to complete. All you need to do is answer a set of 16 personal finance questions, which should take no more than 8 to 10 minutes of your time. The questions seek information such as your loan and credit card commitment, savings and investment, as well as retirement goals, to provide an accurate assessment.

Once you’ve completed the questionnaire, you’ll be given a score that lets you know how you’re faring financially. The scoring system is specially designed by our licensed financial planners to accurately capture the state of your financial health. A high percentage means you’re financial health is in great shape, while lower scores indicate some areas of improvement.

On top of the overall financial health score, you will also be alerted to the specific areas that require extra attention, along with detailed assessments and tips on how you’re doing or can make better money decisions. The full recommendation segment can be viewed when you sign up for an account, which is also free of charge.

The information shared with us will be secured as per the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), while the technology behind this tool is co-developed with mangro, a financial wellness startup by kipleX, which is itself a venture building company under Green Packet.

Ready to find out how you’re doing financially? You can now access the RinggitPlus Financial Health Check tool here for free.
