Maybank 2 Cards Premier - Higher Treatspoints, Higher Rewards
For frequent travellers and high spenders, the Maybank 2 Cards Premier remains one of the more rewarding premium credit card combinations in Malaysia.
With a single application, cardholders receive the Maybank 2 Cards Premier Reserve American Express® Card and the Maybank 2 Premier Visa Infinite Card, both sharing the same credit limit and statement.
Effective 1 June 2026, Maybank revised the TreatsPoints structure for the Reserve American Express Card, making the card significantly more rewarding for overseas spending and dining transactions.
New TreatsPoints Benefits From 1 June 2026
The updated rewards structure now follows category-based earn rates instead of a flat rewards system.
Cardholders can now earn:
- 10X TreatsPoints for every RM1 spent overseas
- 5X TreatsPoints for every RM1 spent locally on dining (MCC 5811, 5812, 5813, and 5814)
- Up to 3X TreatsPoints for every RM1 spent locally on eligible retail transactions
- 1X TreatsPoints on utilities, education, EzyPay instalments, and insurance transactions, both locally and overseas
However, TreatsPoints are not awarded for government-related and MyCDD transactions, JomPAY, FPX payments, or e-wallet reloads. Overseas transactions under MCC 6051, 6211, and 7311 are also excluded from the 10X overseas earn rate.
For petrol transactions, only the first RM500 per transaction qualifies for accelerated TreatsPoints earning, while any amount above RM500 earns 1X TreatsPoints.
New cardholders will also receive 10,000 TreatsPoints upon activation.

But how much do you need to spend to be able to collect that many TreatsPoints? You should spend roughly RM1,000 or above with your credit card; only then can you pile up those points!
