What is the OCBC 90°N Visa Card?
The OCBC 90°N Visa Card is a travel-focused credit card that rewards you with Travel$ points on every purchase. Think of it as your companion for wanderlust – whether you're shopping locally or spending overseas, you're constantly earning points that bring you closer to your next trip.
What benefits do I get with this card?
Your primary benefit is the Travel$ rewards programme. Every local purchase earns you 1 Travel$ per RM1 spent, while overseas and foreign currency online transactions earn you 5 Travel$ per RM1. These points accumulate in your account and remain valid for five years, so you're not racing against an expiry clock.
Beyond points, you get complimentary travel insurance coverage up to RM1 million when you charge your flight tickets to the card. This covers death and permanent disablement, giving you peace of mind when you're travelling. The coverage activates automatically when you use your card for flight bookings – no complicated registration process needed.
Airport lounge access is another major perk. In your first year of membership, you get 2 complimentary visits to Plaza Premium Lounges at KLIA and klia2. You can share these visits with a guest, so if you're travelling with someone, both of you can enjoy the lounge without additional charges. After your first year, you'll continue getting 2 annual lounge visits as long as you maintain RM30,000 in total retail spending each year.
Redeem Travel$ points into cashback!
Your Travel$ points are flexible. You can redeem your points as cashback for anything – not just travel expenses. The only requirement is that you must have made at least one travel-related purchase in the past 12 months before redemption.
Travel purchases include airlines, hotels, car rentals, tour operators, and tourist attractions. Once you meet this condition, you can convert your Travel$ to cashback that is credited directly to your card account.
The redemption process is straightforward. You need a minimum of 5,000 Travel$ to redeem, which converts to RM10 cashback. The conversion rate is 500 Travel$ to RM1, and you can redeem online through OCBC Internet Banking or the OCBC Malaysia Mobile Banking app. Your cashback credits within three days of redemption.
What are the annual fees and waiver conditions?
The principal card costs RM288 annually, and supplementary cards cost RM88. OCBC waives these fees completely for your first year of membership. There's also a RM25 service tax that applies on activation and is renewed annually.
After your first year, you'll pay the full annual fees unless you meet a minimum spending of RM30,000 for the subsequent years.
