Annual fee waiver
If you are looking for a credit card with zero annual fees for the first year, then the all-new Standard Chartered Smart Credit Card is your starter kit!
After that, you will need to spend RM12,000 annually in the subsequent years to enjoy the annual fee waiver.
What happens if I do not make a repayment on time?
There will be a finance charge incurred on the outstanding credit card balance that is overdue.
This finance charge, ranging from a minimum of 15% per annum to a maximum of 18% per annum, is tiered based on the user's repayment behaviour in the last 12 months.
See the table below for reference:
Annual Rate | Condition |
15% | Cardmembers who promptly settle their Minimum Monthly Payment due for 12 consecutive months. |
17% | Cardmembers who promptly settle their Minimum Monthly Payment due for 10/11 months in the last 12 consecutive months. |
18% | Cardmembers who make 9 months or less prompt payments of their Minimum Monthly Payment in the last 12 consecutive months. |
For example, within 12 months from the card approval date, if you have missed three (3) credit card repayments consecutively, an 18% per annum finance charge will be levied on the credit card outstanding balance.
After you have managed to consistently repay your credit card outstanding balance promptly and in full for 12 consecutive months, the finance charge will default to the minimum.
