What is AmBank Basic Current Account Plus?
It is a no-fuss current account that charges no annual fee, waives the debit card fee for as long as you hold the card, and requires only RM20 to open, with no introducer required.
This account isn't built to grow your savings. Instead, it keeps your everyday banking simple, and it does that well if you can meet one condition: maintaining an average of RM1,000 in the account.
What do I get with this account?
You will get a chequebook, internet banking via AmOnline, and unlimited withdrawals at AmBank and AmBank Islamic branches, both over the counter and at AmBank ATMs.
AmBank waives the annual fee for the debit card as long as this account remains your card's primary linked account. Card issuance is also free.
In addition, your deposits are protected by PIDM up to RM250,000 per depositor, per bank.
