This principal and profit accrued under this current account is guaranteed under PIDM terms, subject to a maximum of RM250,000.

Is it similar to Bank Muamalat Al Wadiah Current Account-i?

No. This current account is based on the structure of Commodity Murabahah, or sale and purchase undertaking, whereby your profit rate will be determined upfront and will be credited to your account every month.

Who can apply for Bank Muamalat Current Account-i Tawarruq?

Bank Muamalat Current Account-i Tawarruq can be opened by anyone, individually or jointly, on a condition that they must be 18 years old and above.

Corporate, club, society, association, corporation and SME, whose activities are not prohibited by Shariah law, are also welcome to apply.

A minimum deposit of RM1,000 is applicable to both individuals and corporate at the time of account opening.
