    What do I need to set up a HSBC Basic Current Account?

    The account holder should be at least 18 years of age and be a Malaysian citizen, permanent resident or foreigner with valid work/student permit. In addition, an initial deposit of RM500 is required when opening the account. An introducer is not required to set up the account.
