Who Can Apply For This Debit Card?

This card is exclusively designed for Sarawak and individuals with an address in Sarawak. To be eligible, you must hold a linked AFFIN BANK Savings or Current Account (CASA/-i) and meet the following criteria:

  • Age: Account holders eighteen (18) years and above are eligible. Minors who are twelve (12) years and above are also eligible to apply.
  • Joint Accounts: Only holders of joint accounts with the instruction of “either-to-sign” can apply for the Card.
  • Sarawak Status (Meet One):
    • Be an “Anak Sarawak” (indicated by a “K” on your MyKad).
    • Be an individual born in Sarawak (MyKad with code “13”).
    • Be a student with an address in Sarawak.
    • Have a residential address in Sarawak.
    • Have an office address in Sarawak.

What Are the Required Documents to Apply for This Debit Card?

You must provide both your standard identification documents and supporting documents to verify your Sarawak status.

1. Standard Documents:

  • Your original Identity Card (MyKad) or Passport (for non-Malaysians).
  • Any required documents for opening a Current or Savings Account if you don't already have one.
  • Completed Application Form.

2. Supporting Documents (To Verify Sarawak Status):

  • Education letter
  • Confirmation of the learning institution on the status
  • Student ID card (Matrix Card)
  • Electricity bill
  • Water bill
  • Telephone bill
  • Lease agreement
  • Employment letter
  • Bank statement
  • Any other document as required by the bank

What Are the Fees That I Need to Pay?

  • Annual Fee: RM0.00 (Lifetime Annual Fee Waiver).
  • MEPS Withdrawal Fees: Waived for up to 4 transactions per month if you meet the minimum monthly balance requirement.
  • SMS Transaction Alerts: No cost for the SMS alerts sent to your registered mobile phone number.
  • Replacement Card Fees: RM12.00 (due to lost/stolen Card, loss of PIN, or Card damaged by Customer)
  • Overseas Transaction Conversion Fee: 1%
