Who Can Apply for This Debit Card?
The AFFIN UKM Alumni Debit Card is issued to customers who meet the following general banking and alumni status criteria:
- Affiliation: You must be a verified Alumnus of UKM.
- Linked Account: You must hold a Current and/or Savings Account (CASA/CASA-i) with AFFIN BANK.
- Age: Account holders eighteen (18) years and above are eligible.
What Are the Required Documents to Apply for This Debit Card?
To apply for this exclusive debit card, you will need documentation for account opening and proof of your alumni status.
- Your original Identity Card (MyKad) or Passport.
- Completed Account Application Form for the linked Savings or Current Account.
- Proof of UKM Alumni Status (e.g., Alumni membership card or other verification required by the bank).
- Minimum initial deposit required for the linked account type.
What Are the Fees That I Need to Pay?
- Annual Fee:
- First Year: WAIVED (Free)
- Subsequent Year: RM12.00 per annum (or RM8.00 if linked to a Basic Savings/Current Account).
- ATM Withdrawal Fee (AFFIN ATM): Free (at AFFINBANK and AFFIN ISLAMIC ATMs).
- ATM Withdrawal Fee (Other Banks/MEPS): RM1.00 per withdrawal/transaction at local MEPS member bank ATMs.
- Overseas Transaction Conversion Fee: When the card is used outside Malaysia, a fee of up to 1% is added to the VISA International exchange rate.
- Replacement Card Fees:
- Due to lost/stolen Card, loss of PIN, or Card damaged by Customer: RM12.00
- Due to faulty Card/recall or fraud: Exempted (Free)
