Cash Withdrawals Worldwide
Bank of China Malaysia Great Wall International Debit Card enables you to withdraw cash from over 2.1 million MasterCard ATMs in more than 210 countries.
Free cash withdrawals are made possible at any Bank of China ATM nationwide. What's more, the first two cash withdrawals are totally free of charge at any ATMs with the MasterCard logo. The subsequent cash withdrawal costs you RM4 on each transaction.
For the cash withdrawals in mainland China, on the other hand, the fee is RM8 for each withdrawal. Each of the cash withdrawal fees at the banks overseas costs you RM12.
On top of the cash withdrawals, you can use the card for deposits and fund transfers at Bank of China's ATMs. The services are also available at any of the branches worldwide.
Overseas Shopping
Bank of China Malaysia Great Wall International Debit Card allows you to make purchases at any local and overseas merchants through the MasterCard Network. You can make online purchases too.
Bear in mind that for all overseas transactions, whether online or offline purchases, you have to activate the service in line with the BNM circular on Managing Risks of Electronic Banking, Direct Debit and Risk Associated with Payment Instructions.

Merchants Promotions
Surprisingly, the Bank of China offers promotions at merchants in Malaysia. The promotions range from hotels, entertainment, services, and restaurants. Besides that, you can enjoy the promotions at the participating merchants in China.
Card Application
Individuals aged 18 years old and above can apply for the Bank of China Malaysia Great Wall International Debit Card. Teenagers aged between 12 and 18 years old can opt to apply for the Youth Debit Card. The card application can be made at any Bank of China branch in Malaysia.
Remember to prepare the required documents before you approach the branch.
- MyKad or Passport
- Valid working permit or student pass for foreigners, with a validity of at least 3 months
Also, you are required to open the Bank of China Malaysia's savings or current account before you apply for the debit card.
Daily Limits
The daily limit is set at RM10,000 for daily usage of ATM withdrawals, retail spending, and fund transfer. However, the Bank of China allows only a maximum ATM daily withdrawal of RM100 for the Youth Debit Card. Meanwhile, the cardholders are not allowed to perform fund transfers and retail purchases.
