What is Hong Leong Junior Debit Card-i?
The Hong Leong Junior Debit Card-i is a secure and Shariah-compliant payment tool for children! It is issued to the parent or legal guardian (the Customer) for the child (the beneficiary) and is linked to the Junior Savings Account-i. It works like a normal prepaid debit card for purchases and withdrawals, but is safer than carrying cash, giving you total peace of mind.
Who Can Apply For This Debit Card?
This card is for Malaysian citizens below 18 years of age. The application must be submitted by a parent, legal guardian, or trustee, who will be the primary account holder.
What Are The Fees That I Need To Pay?
We've got great news! The fees are very manageable for this card:
- Issuance Fee: RM8.00 per card.
- Annual Fee: RM8.00 per card.
- Replacement Fee (Lost/Stolen/Damaged): RM18.00 per card.
- Reload Fee: Auto-reloads from the Junior Savings Account-i and reloads via HL Connect, CDM, or ATM are FREE! A fee of RM2.00 applies for over-the-counter (OTC) reloads.
- Domestic ATM Withdrawal: RM1.00 per transaction at other bank ATMs (HLISB/HLB ATMs are free).
- Overseas ATM Withdrawal (Mastercard/Visa): RM12.00 per transaction (from Ringgit Malaysia balance).
