What is Bank Rakyat Easy Instalment Plan?

It is an EPP plan whereby you can stretch the payment of expensive retail item(s) into more affordable monthly instalments.

How does this EPP work?

Oftentimes we resort to diligently saving some money every month from our salary to be able to afford expensive retail items like the TV, furnitures, household items and so forth.

Long gone those days (or not, it's entirely up to one's preference), now you can easily afford those items with an instalment plan like Bank Rakyat's. And what makes it even better, the instalments are one hundred percent ZERO interest. Meaning, every month — depending on your choice of instalment plan tenure — you just have to pay the fixed amount indicated upon the purchase agreement.

However, it's important for you to note that you cannot pay less than the agreed instalment amount. Otherwise, you may be charged an interest rate which will require you to pay more.

How long is the tenure?

As far as we are aware, you may stretch your repayments for up to 36 months with a minimum purchase of RM1,000! Or another choice is 24 months of tenure.

There are shorter tenures than those two mentioned but it should be dependent on the selected merchants. Give a call to Bank Rakyat Customer Service Centre to find out more details.
