How much you can claim for hospital bills

But what if they stay healthy and don't make any claim for years? Some of them start to question themselves why paying for a medical card every month.

Am I eligible to buy this AIA medical card?

Any individual between 14 days to 70 years of age is eligible to buy this AIA medical card. If you're expecting a child, you can also sign your child up for  AIA A-Plus Health card 30 days before the labour day. This AIA medical card gives comprehensive medical protection up to age 100. 

Can I use this AIA medical card while overseas?

Yes, you can! You can opt to have any medical treatment overseas, with coverage accordance with the Reasonable and Customary and Medical Necessary Charges equivalent of local treatment. However, you won't get this benefit if you're residing or traveling overseas for more than 90 consecutive days (except for Singapore and Brunei).

Foreigners and non-residents, your AIA A-Plus Health coverage is valid for hospitalisation within Malaysia, unless it's a medical emergency when you're overseas.

More benefits with AIA Health Wallet

If you don't make any claim in a year, AIA A-Plus Health will reward you with the amount depending on the plan you select. The amount will be credited to your Health Wallet, with a maximum of 10 times (10 years). You can use the Health Wallet for health screenings, vaccinations, recovery care, mobility and hearing expenses, even cosmetic surgery due to an accident.

Other things that you can do the Health Wallet are extending your coverage beyond your annual limit, boosting your death coverage and get covered for mobility and hearing expenses. Kindly take note that you can't withdraw the fund from your Health Wallet.

The medical card without a lifetime limit

Exceeding your annual limit? Don't worry! With AIA A-Plus Health, your annual limit will be reset every year. Depending on the plan that you choose, you can enjoy an annual limit from RM500,000 to RM2,000,000.
