What is Allianz Care Individual all about?
This is a comprehensive hospitalisation and surgical insurance policy, providing you with a cashless solution for your hospital admissions - there's no fuss, just present your medical card at the front desk anytime!
All hospital bills will be settled automatically upon your discharge. On top of that, you are entitled to emergency medical services provided by Allianz on a 24-hours basis.
Does this insurance provide medical assistance?
Yes, there are both domestic and international medical assistance programmes at your disposal anytime of the day. Of course, these benefits are optional, and you can always add them on to your plan later on.
The full range of available services include emergency medical evacuation, repatriation and medical assistance, along with the international program that provides you with comprehensive travel information.
Who can subscribe to this medical plan?
You can apply for this medical card with Allianz if you fall into the age range of 30 days to 69 years old.
How much do I need to pay for premiums?
The premium will be based on your age and the plan you would like to subscribe for, the price of the premiums will mirror the amount of coverage you have.
To lower your premiums, you can always go for a deductible option - allowing you to pay RM100 out of your own pocket before your bills are taken care of by Allianz.
Do I need to pay more for policy renewal?
This particular policy is renewable annually, however, the premiums are not fixed, they are based and often vary depending on your physical health, age and medical history. That being said, with the Allianz Care Individual, you as the policyholder, will be subjected to 2 years of conditional renewal from the start date of your agreement.
If you have made any claims in the first two years, the policy renewal may undergo certain exclusions and a revised premium. On that note, after you have satisfied the two years of conditional renewals with no hiccups, you can then enjoy guaranteed renewals from the 3rd year onwards.
Can I stay at the hospital of my choice?
Yes, you can decide for yourself, which hospital you are comfortable with. If you've decided on a hospital with a higher rate for its room or board compared to what is that in your policy, all you need to do is to bear 20% of the price.
Bear in mind that the maximum you are able to be covered for during your hospital stay is 60 days per admission.
