You can use Generali SmartCare Optimum Plus for medical treatment in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei.
However, if you reside or travel outside of the three countries for more than 90 consecutive days, you will receive no benefit.
Should you be referred to treatments outside Malaysia by the attending doctor or physician, the medical treatment benefits shall be limited to the reasonable, customary and medically necessary charges for such equivalent local treatment and Malaysia.
The medical card benefits exclude the transportation cost to the place of treatment.
When can I start using Generali SmartCare Optimum Plus?
There's a 30-day waiting period after the commencement of your medical card policy before you can use your Generali medical card.
The waiting period won't be applicable after the first year of coverage except for the case of an insurance break-in.
In that case, the waiting period policy will apply again.
