How to Claim

Making a claim is not as hard as you think, follow the simple guide below step by step and MSIG will have your claims processed in no time.

1) The very first thing you must always do is to notify MSIG of any possibility of claim and describe the situation to them.

2) Download the claim form here and submit the completed form to MSIG within 30 days of discharged. Note that your attending doctor has to fill up part two of the form and initial at the bottom before submission.

3) Get ready the following documents and submit them together with your claim form:

  • Original medical bills
  • Original medical receipt
  • Medical report

4) MSIG will handle everything from here on and will notify you of the result.

What is the main highlight of this MSIG medical insurance?

Want higher coverage for healthcare? This medical card allows you to choose a plan that best suit your lifestyle and budget - upgrade your plan to optional benefits such as international cover, maternity, and outpatient services. 

You may have auto insurance protection from your credit card - but that's hardly enough! With the premier or golden premier plans, you get international hospitalisation cover whenever you're abroad no matter for business or holiday.

Does this policy cover organ transplants?

Yes it does! You'll be able to use your MSIG medical card for kidney, heart, liver, lung, and bone marrow transplant operations. However, theost of obtaining donor organs not included

How much do I need to pay for MSIG Healthcare International Insurance?

The premiums vary depending on age and your chosen healthcare plan. 

Can I upgrade my room anytime?

Yes, you can. If you're hospitalised and given a room with a higher board rate than what's covered in your insurance policy, you'll need to bear 20% of the other eligible benefits stated in your policy.

Does this medical card offer outpatient service?

Yes, but only if you subscribe for the Golden Premier Plan. Among the services included are general practitioner and specialist consultations, diagnostic services as well as the prescription drugs. 

Bear in mind that the services are subjected to deductible of RM100 per doctor's visit. It means that you have to pay RM100 before you file a claim from MSIG.

Tell me more about the optional maternity benefit?

This benefit covers a lady up to RM3,000 per pregnancy per year for a normal delivery and RM5,000 for a complicated delivery. The complete list of coverage include ante-natal, childbirth, and post-natal treatment for the mother. 

However, this benefit is only valid for women giving birth 12 months into their policy. So, this benefit is not valid for a new pregnant woman subscriber.
