  • Medical leave certificates
  • X-Ray report
  • Photograph of your injury

3) Deliver all the documents to your nearest Manulife branch and they'll contact you in no time!

4) If you would like Manulife to credit the reimbursement to your bank account via online transfer,  fill up and submit a E-payment Authorisation Form and you're good to go.

Why should I get Manulife Care-For-You?

Your personal health is Manulife’s number one priority, that’s why Care-For-You aims to provide you with comprehensive medical cover – whether it’s pre-hospitalisation, surgical fees, outpatient treatment & benefits, intensive care services or post-hospitalisation!

If you’ve got an investment-linked insurance plan with Manulife you can get Care-For-You as a rider. Otherwise this policy can be purchased as a standalone medical card.

How does the lifetime and annual limit work?

Unlike regular plans, Care-For-You is a unique health insurance policy that does not have an overall lifetime limit – so you never have to worry about losing your medical cover! However, there's a single exception for out-patient benefits which has a lifetime limit equivalent to 2x your policy's annual limit.

For the annual limit you can choose from 4 options depending on your needs and budget, ranging from RM80,000 to RM250,000. If choose the As Charged Plan, the annual limit can be increased up to RM320,000.

Can I use my medical card overseas?

You can only use your medical card in Malaysia. But the good news is the daily hospital room and board benefit will be payable if you are hospitalised in select countries, provided that you have not stayed for more than 90 consecutive days.

How about non-medical related benefits?

As promised, this Manulife medical card really will care for you! For those who suffer a major disability or are recovering after a major surgery, you’ll get cover with the nursing care at home benefit.

Do I need to pay part of my medical bills before filing for a claim?

No, this is a hassle-free admission medical card. Just present your medical card at any panel hospital and Manulife will handle the paperwork and settle the bills for you! Terms & conditions apply.

Can I include my family in the plan?

Yes, you can include your spouse and children into the plan. This medical insurance package can also extend coverage to your new born child, up to a maximum of 5 children.

When will my coverage start?

Cover for both hospitalisation and surgery caused by accidents begins immediately upon approval of your policy!

Other cover is only in effect 30 days after your Care-For-You the commencement date, with the exception of specified illnesses such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus and cancer which requires a waiting period of 120 calendar days.

Does this plan offer out-patient benefits?

Yes, of course. You'll receive benefits for kidney dialysis, cancer and stroke treatment, as well as day surgery, day care benefit, and emergency accident injury benefit. Need help getting around after surgery? You're also covered for nursing care at home.

Will I need to pay for GST?

Yes, all health insurance policies in Malaysia are subject to 6% GST.

Can I claim income tax for Manulife Care-For-You?

Yes, you're qualified for income tax relief of up to RM3,000 for the Manulife Care-For-You medical insurance plan, subject to approval of the Inland Revenue Board ( LHDN).
