What is the MediSure Supreme?

With this insurance plan, you get to have extended coverage depending on the plan you choose as well as annual premiums, so you can save up for them without having to increase your monthly expenditure.

How much does it cover?

As per usual, there are the regular expenses that the insurance policy will cover, among them is hospital room and board, use of the ICU, hospital supplies and services along with the use of the operating theater.

For the most part, all pre-and post-surgical fees will be taken care of by the insurance policy. Of course, your physician visits, outpatient care, emergency medical attention and ambulance fees are covered as well. However, this policy does a little more than that.

Other benefits include an allowance for the purchase of a prostheses should you need it, or a wheelchair. Aside from that, you will get coverage for home nursing care up to a select duration of time, if you need someone to care for you in your immediate recovery time.

How does this policy work?

This is a more flexible medical policy option and can be purchased by almost everyone. With a high maximum renewal age, parents you can buy this policy for your kids and vice versa, from kids to aging parents.

Do I need to have a medical examination before purchasing the policy?

It has not been explicitly requested that you undergo a pre-entry medical exam. That being said, it might be entirely possible that depending on your age up on registration, you will be asked to go for one.

How does the deductible work?

The MediSupreme come with two coverage options in terms of premium. The cashless admission option is where you pay your whole premium upfront and receive a medical card from RHB Insurance. This way, you need not produce any case upon payment for any sort of medical care as per the benefits.

On the other hand, there is the option of joining the deductible programme, where you can opt to pay a fraction of the annual premium. However, depending on your plan, and how much medical attention you require, you as the policy holder will need to pay for the first RM5,000 to RM100,000 of your costs. After which you can claim from the policy.
