Who is eligible for this loan?

As PR1MA is aimed at middle income earners, any Malaysian-born individuals or joint applicants whose monthly salary fall between RM2,500 – RM15,000 can get their hands on this end-financing package.

Most importantly, you must be at least 21 years old in order to be eligible.

Do I have to make a down payment?

You don’t have to, which make this an interesting fact about PR1MA financing. What will happen is CIMB will provide up to 100% financing of the property value, with an option to add another 5% for GMTA, legal fee and stamp duty coverage.

That is only a partial of the total cost of moving. You can increase the margin of financing for GMTA, legal fee and stamp duty expenses to 10% under Special PR1MA End Financing (SPEF) package.

How much is the fee I need to pay?

You mean processing fee? There no need to pay for it as CIMB has waived it for you. Unless, you take up SPEF package, there is a one-off fee of RM200.

What property can CIMB PR1MA Home Loan finance?

Any type of residential properties, landed or multi units dwelling (MDU); completed or under construction, provided they are located in Malaysia and under the PR1MA program.

What documents do I need to prepare?

First, you need to have several property documents such as a valid Offer To Purchase (OTP) letter from PR1MA followed by Sale & Purchase Agreement, Booking Receipt, Copy of Title and Valuation Report (for completed, subsale, auction and refinancing).

If you are an income earner:

  • Copy of NRIC
  • Latest 3-month payslips
  • Latest EA form / EPF statement (last 2 years)
  • Sale & Purchase Agreement / Booking form from developer

If you are self-employed:

  • Copy of NRIC
  • Sale & Purchase Agreement / Booking form from developer
  • Latest Form B with tax payment receipt
  • Latest 6-month bank statement
  • Business Registration A&D
