More Information

What do I need to know about Maybank MaxiHome Plus?

MaxiHome Plus is a conventional housing loan with a variable interest rate pegged to the BR. You can choose from a term loan, or an overdraft, or a combination of both!

The finance margin is usually up to 90%. Maybank offers an additional 5% loan for the consolidation of related expenses, including MRTA, legal fees, and evaluation fees. Really important to note that the interest rate is lower if you take up this capitalization option.

Whatever your needs may be, to invest in the property market or to own your first or second house; Maybank tailors this home loan to meet your personal criteria.

You can choose either to service the interest portion of your home loan, or immediately commence your instalment payment upon full disbursement.

How do I make monthly repayments?

Maybank has provided a slew of payment methods for you to service your monthly instalment conveniently. If you prefer the traditional walk-in with cash or cheque, you can pay a visit to the any of Maybank branches or its ATMs.

Or, you can easily manage your payment via Maybank2u.com, mobile apps or phone banking. This way, you can cut the long queue at the branch and avoid stress over unlimited parking in the peak hour.

Can I make extra payment on my instalment?

You have the flexibility to make extra payment on top of your monthly instalment to save on interest as it is calculated on daily rest. Moreover, you get to also redraw excess money you have deposited into the home loan account at a small fee.

Do I need any insurance?

Fire Insurance and Mortgage Reducing Term Assurance (MRTA) is compulsory. MRTA settles your outstanding mortgage should anything happen to you. The one-off premium is calculated based on your age, loan/financing amount, tenure of home loan and interest rate.

It can be paid with cash up front or included in your loan to minimise the initial cash outlay required.
