What is Standard Chartered MortgageKlibor?

Standard Chartered MortgageKlibor is a housing loan based, as the name suggests, on KLIBOR. This is the Kuala Lumpur Interbank Overnight Rate, an interest rate that Malaysian banks use when trading between each other. KLIBOR moves and down every day but the rate Standard Chartered use for this home loan product is calculated every quarter year and charged to your account accordingly.

Margin of finance is 80% and the minimum financing that you can borrow is RM 500000, applicable to completed homes or property under-construction.

What are the advantages of Standard Chartered Mortgage Klibor housing loan?

You can pay extra as and when you have additional cash to reduce your loan principal, although you are required to inform the bank if you decide to do so. And as a bonus, you'll get a free credit card when your mortgage is approved.

Can a foreigner apply for this mortgage?
