How much will I save with this Celcom iPhone 6 Plus plan?
Sign up online for a bundled iPhone + phone plan and you’ll get a great discount on your Apple iPhone by Celcom, starting as low as RM1088 for the 16GB iPhone 6 Plus. The only ‘slight’ catch is you’ll have to sign a 2 year postpaid plan contract, and pay an upfront fee as security – which will be rebated back to you at the end of the day.
How does the 2 year contract work?
Just maintain you Celcom plan and pay all your phone bills, it’s as simple as that! You won’t be able to switch providers or downgrade your plan for the period, but you can always get an upgrade or top up along the way if you need more data, or call & talk time. Early termination will result in losing your upfront fees and owing cancellation charges to Celcom based on the months left on your contract.
Will the upfront fees be paid back?
Upon registration you’ll have to pay for your discounted iPhone 6 Plus and the upfront fees. Depending on whether you choose the Celcom FIRST Basic 85 or FIRST Elite plan, you’ll have to pay RM689 or RM1802 (GST included) as upfront fees respectively. This total amount will be rebated back to you over a period of 10 months - example RM68.90 x 10 for a total of RM689; so you’ll get it all back in your pocket.
Which Celcom postpaid plan should I choose?
Plug in your brand new iPhone 6 Plus with one of two Celcom mobile data plans to choose from. Celcom FIRST Basic 85 like its namesake, costs RM85 each month and you’ll get 2GB of data. First ELITE on the other hand comes with two sim cards and 3 GBs each, so you’ll pay RM235 each month before GST and other charges. Both come with the Celcom Optimiser for an extra boost of data or talk & SMS if you exceed your quota.
Will I be charged if I exceed my data usage?
In case you were on a streaming rampage and burn through all your data for the month (including your Optimiser quota), you won’t have to pay anything extra! But your surfing speeds will be throttled from that point on. So unless you decide to get an online data top up, you might have to save those Facebook and Twitter updates for another day.
Can I buy this smartphone plan on credit?
Swiping with your credit card might not be the best idea you’ve had today, especially if you’re spending outside your budget. Luckily you can sign up for a 12 month or 24 month extended payment contract (EPP) from select banks – Maybank, HSBC, CIMB, Bank Islam or Citibank.
