What you get is definitely more than just that, the irresistible part of this plan is the smartphone purchase price. Digi will subsidize a portion or the ENTIRE phone price if you get the phone and mobile plan from Digi in a bundle.
How does Digi determine the subsidy I get on Samsung Galaxy J5?
The subsidy amount is fixed for each Digi Postpaid More Internet plan. There are three options available, for subscribers of 68 More Internet, the phone price you will be charged at is RM459 whereas for 98 More Internet, you'll only have to pay RM189 for the phone compared to its official retail price of RM753.77 exclusing GST. Last but not least, if you sign up for 148 More Internet, you will get the phone for free!
Other than the phone price, what else do I need to pay?
Having a postpaid plan means a monthly subscription fee is needed in order to use the service provided i.e. internet quota, calls and SMS and it varies according to the plan you select. Apart from this, you'll have to pay the first month of your monthly fee in advance at the point of registration. It will then be rebated in your first bill.
For 68 and 98 More Internet plan, an upfront payment of RM200 and RM470 respectively will be charged upon registration too. The good thing is it will be refunded entirely throughout your 24 months contract. Although this upfront fee does not apply to 148 More Internet plan, there's a device advance fee of RM659 charged upfront which will also be given back to you in your first month bill.
