Why should I invest in the Malaysian stock market?
Driven by leading industries such as palm oil, petroleum, manufacturing, telecommunications, electronics and many others, the stock market in Malaysia has been growing steadily throughout the years.
Being a diverse country with a strategic geopolitical location neighbouring Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines makes our country the most sought-after investment hub in Southeast Asia, if not the world.
Other than stocks, what other trading products are available?
Depending on your investment plans and risk appetite you can invest in exchange-traded funds (ETFs), structured warrants, real estate investment funds (REITs) and futures trading in the Webull Malaysia app.
Stocks are you owning a piece of a company and the profit you gain is dependable on the company’s performance. If that company performs well, the value of the stocks you invested will increase and you may sell them for a profit if you wish.
Exchange-traded funds (ETFs) are a basket of different stocks or assets traded on stock exchanges like Bursa Malaysia. ETFs are highly popular especially amongst beginners because of their diversity.
Issued by investment banks, structured warrants are a type of contract that gives you the option and the right to buy or sell an underlying asset at a predetermined price within a specific time frame.
Real estate investment trusts (REITs) are you buying actual properties without having to pay the full price. With REITs, you purchase just a small portion of the property and let it grow in value over time. You can get a stable income from this investment via rental profit!
Futures trading is when you agree to buy or sell something at a fixed price on a future date, no matter what its actual cost is later. This is done through special agreements called futures contracts, and the things you can trade include items like gold, oil, or financial tools like stock indexes or currencies.
