Why should I invest in the United States (US) stock market?
The United States is home to some of the biggest and most successful global companies—Apple, Microsoft, Google, and Tesla are significant examples. This alone attracts potential investors to start investing in the US stock market, given the chance to benefit from the company's growth and success.
Furthermore, regarded as one of the largest and most active global stock markets, the US stock market is highly liquid, which means that you can easily buy or sell stocks or assets when you need to—a great investment option if you require flexibility in your plans!
Investing in the US stock market is also safe because it is well-regulated with strong financial regulations to protect investors and ensure the markets run smoothly. Therefore, you can rest assured that your investment is secure from potential threats.
What else can I invest in the Webull Malaysia app?
With Webull Malaysia, you’ll have access to 24-hour trading. You can invest in stocks and other trading products in the US market, such as exchange-traded funds (ETFs), options trading and fractional shares in the Webull Malaysia app.
Stocks are essentially you owning a company’s share (a portion of it!), and the profit you gain is dependent on the company’s performance. If that company performs well, the value of the stocks you invested in will go up, and you may sell them for a profit.
Exchange-traded funds (ETFs) are a basket of different stocks or assets traded on exchanges like the globally recognised New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and NASDAQ. ETFs are highly popular, especially because of their diversity.
Options trading, on the other hand, is a strategy where people buy and sell contracts called options. These contracts are tied to the value of assets like stocks, indices, commodities, or currencies. An option gives its holder the right, but not the obligation, to buy or sell the asset at a set price (called the strike price) before or on a specific date.
Lastly, fractional shares are portions of a full share of a company’s stock. Purchasing a full share can be expensive; therefore, if you have a limited budget to invest, you can buy just a fraction of it. This allows you to diversify your portfolio by investing in high-priced stocks without burning your pocket.
