More Information

What is the Essential PA then?

The Essential PA is a personal accident protection plan offered by AIG insurance to provide a financial backing for those of you who want a little extra protection or are just a little accident prone in nature. It will offer compensation when you are hit with unforeseen circumstances.

So, what does it cover?

Like most personal accident insurance plans, it will cover death and permanent disability, as well as temporary disability due to accidents. Since accidents cause more than just death and disabilities you will also be covered for broken bones, fractures, severe burns, and much more. With this policy, you can be sure that you’ll be prepared for the worst of circumstances.

You will also have financial coverage, or a certain amount of reimbursement in case you need to purchase mobility aids both for recovering injuries and lifetime disabilities. There are other areas that the policy will cover but some of them are optional benefits that you need to pick separately.

One of them being medical expense covers, so if you are more prone to minor injuries and accidents or more fearful of the everyday circumstance, then you might want to pick up this optional cover.

How do the premiums work?

There are a few factors that go into the value of your premiums, often they are age, stability of health, and your income. That being said, the premiums for this protection plan is affordable and is set to be paid annually. Therefore, you will only need to worry about it once a year and it will make your payments easier to handle.

Keep in mind that this is not just an individual personal accident plan, to those of you who want to, you may convert the plan in to a family care policy. This way you will get to pay even lower premiums for great coverage and care for your whole family.

Who can apply for this policy?

Anyone over the age of 18 can pick up this plan as and when you need. Be it individual or otherwise. For those of you who would like to include your children and family under the policy, they will need to be more than 30 days old. Your child will be held under the protection till they are 18 or to a maximum of 25, should they still be full time students.

For individual or new policy holders, the maximum entry age for this protection is 70, and you can continue to renew the plan till your 75th birthday, should you wish.
