Tell me about the Prime Personal Accident Insurance
MSIG Prime is one of the few personal accident insurance plans offered by MSIG Insurance. This plan comes with a fair few perks too. Aside from gaining a steady financial backing in case of emergency, the policy also offers you special coverage for some diseases, a renewal bonus and to a certain extent protection against a certain level of crime.
What does it cover?
Aside from accidental death and or total permanent disablement. The policy also covers medical expenses with reimbursements of up to RM12,000. These medical income benefit can be used for chiropractic treatment, traditional remedies, and Sinseh when it comes to accidental bodily injury.
The policy also includes an allowance for Family Care if you require a care giver to take your place at home during hospitalization. Therefore, if you have small children, elderly or a disabled person living with you, MSIG will provide care for them up to a period of 2 weeks.
You will have coverage for rehabilitation and physiotherapy, corrective dental surgery, major burns and even mental trauma, where you might require counseling. Also, as mentioned you will be receiving coverage against a certain level of crime with will include snatch theft, robbery, kidnapping, search and rescue, terrorism, and hijacking.
What are some of the exclusions for coverage?
Well some of the general exclusions include accidents or injury that is caused by your involvement in war or related risks, ionization, contamination and radiation. Anything pertaining to suicide and self-harm is also not included in the policy coverage. Pregnancy, childbirth, physical and mental deficiencies are also not covered under the plan.
