How to Claim

Who do I contact if I have a question or emergency?

Making a claim with Progressive Insurance should be relatively easy once you have everything you need in order, before going to make the claim. You will  first need to notify the insurer of the incident that has taken place resulting in the need to make a claim, then remember to collect a claim from from them. Then you will need to put together a list of documents to attach to your claim form before submitting it. These documents will vary depending on the type of claim you are making, however, this is not a comprehensive list. So keep in mind that you might need to collect another one from Progressive Insurance that is more thorough.  

Non-Fatal Claim

  • Original medical report
  • Original Medical Bills and receipts
  • Copy of Medical Certificate

Fatal Case

  • Copy of police report
  • Certified True Copy of Death Certificate
  • Certified True Copy of Post Mortem Report
  • Burial Certificate
  • Letter of Administration / Letter of Probate

What is the Progressive Family PA all about?

The Family PA is a personal accident protection plan put forth by Progressive Insurance to cover not just you as an individual but your entire family as well. Not only does this mean that you have less to worry about in terms of handling your policies, but you get to have a more affordable insurance premium rate on account of your family being included.

How much does the policy cover?

There are several benefits that come as a coverage for this policy, the most basic and essential being coverage for accidental death and total permanent disability. Aside from death the policy provides coverage for permanent disablement and temporary disablement. So, in the case you are rendered incapable of using your limbs for day to day activities you will have a form of financial backing with your insurance policy.

However, accidents come in many forms, and neither death nor disability are the only outcomes. Therefore, to cover you in other situations, the policy offers you financial coverage for medical expenses incurred as a result from an accident. following that you will have coverage for dental and corrective cosmetic surgery as well as cover for any ambulance fees you might incur.

Lastly, the policy offers a funeral benefit perk and reimbursements both for the purchase of orthopedic equipment and repatriation, should you require those services.

Who can apply for this policy?

Anyone over the age of 18, married and has a family can pick up this plan as and when they need, but since this is a family plan there are age restrictions for any children included in the plan. Parents, please take note that your child must be more than 15-days old to be eligible for this plan coverage. They will have continued coverage till the age of 18 or 23 depending on whether or not they are studying full time.

The maximum entry age for a policy holder is 64, and if you already have the policy before then, you can continue to renew it till the maximum age of 70.

Also please take note that this policy is only open to Malaysians and Permanent Residents of Malaysia.
