What is the financing limit?
For this public sector personal loan, you can borrow from a minimum of RM5,000 up to RM200,000. Please take note that with these limits, you may be subjected to a monthly salary deduction of 60% rather than the usual 50%, however it will not exceed 60%.
This loan also offers tenures from 2 years up to 10 years. For employees and clients who make less than RM5,000 a month on your salary, you have an interest rate of 4.75% p.a..
On the other hand, if you make more than RM5,000 a month you have an interest rate of 4.50% p.a. on the entirety of your loan tenure.
Do I require a guarantor?
For permanent staff of more than 3 months, you will not need a guarantor at all, but you will need to be a BSN GIRO/i account holder to be eligible for the loan. However, in the case of contracted or temporary staff you will need to have been employed by the state for 12 months and you will need a guarantor.
Your guarantor will need to be between the age of 21 and 58, they also need to be a fellow employee of the Federal or State Government Department with a maintained salary under the Treasury or State Finance.
They need to have been employed for more than 6 months and both you and your guarantor need to be BSN GIRO/i account holders.

- A letter of confirmation from your employer with the following information:
- Name/ NRIC no.
- Designation / Status
- Monthly Salary
- Date of Employment
- Date of Retirement
- A copy of your latest 2 months salary slip
- An Authorisation Letter for Salary Deduction ( BSN 09-D)
What about early settlement?
Well go right ahead. As long as you give a written notice to the bank you can pay off your loan in full any time you want. That's it! You're all set for this loan!
