What are the minimum and maximum financing amounts?
Emicro i-Financing offers financing amounts from RM500 to RM10,000, with flexible tenures ranging from 3 to 24 months.
What profit rate do I get with Emicro i-Financing?
Emicro i-Financing applies a fixed, flat profit rate of 12% per annum (with collateral) or 18% per annum (without collateral).
A flat rate means the profit is calculated once, on the full amount borrowed, for the entire loan period. It doesn't reduce as the balance is paid down, unlike most bank personal loans, which charge profit only on the amount still owed.
Formula: I = (P + P×R×T)/M
Where:
P = Principal Loan Amount (RM 10,000.00)
R = Annual Flat Profit Rate (18% / 0.18)
T = Loan Tenure in years (e.g., 2)
M = Total Repayment Period in months (24)
For example, RM10,000 over 24 months yields a total interest of RM3,600, bringing the total repayment to RM13,600, or RM566.67 per month. This calculation excludes stamp duty and other charges, which may affect your actual monthly repayment.
Since profit is calculated on the full principal amount throughout the entire tenure, the Effective Profit Rate (EPR) is higher than the stated 18% flat rate. The EPR varies depending on your chosen tenure:
- 3 months: 26.80% p.a.
- 6 months: 30.23% p.a.
- 12 months: 31.72% p.a.
- 24 months: 31.46% p.a.
Any fees or charges I should know about?
The following fees may apply:
- Late Penalty Fee: A late payment interest of 8% per annum will be charged on the principal amount, and a separate late payment penalty fee of RM25.00 will also apply if not be paid within seven (7) days of when it is due.
- Stamp Duty: In accordance with the Stamp Act 1949 (Revised 1989)
