How fast can I get my money?

Once you have completed the online application and documents submission, your HSBC Amanah Personal Financing-i application can be approved in no time and your money will be transferred to your bank account within 3 working days.

What is my monthly payment?

Depending on your financing amount, tenure and profit rate, your monthly instalment payment can be as low as RM124*. 

You will be required to open a Savings Account or Current Account with HSBC Amanah, as the bank would prefer you to have a Standing Instruction to automatically deduct the monthly payment from the account.

You must make full payment of your instalment on time, otherwise, HSBC Amanah has the right to penalise you with an increased profit rate and a compensation fee for late payment of 1%. 

*This calculation is based on a 5-year tenure with a financing amount of RM6,000.

Can I settle my HSBC Amanah Personal Financing-i early?

Yes, you can make an early settlement on your personal financing at any point in time during the financing period with no penalty to be charged. 

But, you are required to submit a 1-month notice to HSBC Amanah.

Who can apply for this Islamic personal loan?

Any Malaysians holding an IC or those who have Malaysian PR status aged between 21 to 60 years with valid proof of income can apply for this personal financing. 

The monthly salary of RM3,000 will be applied to any existing HSBC Amanah account holders, while the RM5,000 monthly salary will be applied to new-to-bank customers.

What documents do I need to prepare for this HSBC Islamic personal loan application?

If you are a salaried employee, you will need the following documents:

a. Copy of current or previous month's payslip/bank statement showing salary credit into account

b. Copy of the latest Form BE with tax payment receipt attached/EA/EPF statement

c. Copy of employment appointment (if employed less than 3 months)

Submit ANY one of the following:

a. Copy of the latest 3 months payslip/bank statement showing salary credit into account

b. Copy of the latest Form BE with tax payment receipt attached/the latest EPF statement/Yearly Commission Statement from employer

If you are self-employed, you are required to prepare the following documents:

Copy of your IC, and

Submit ANY one of the following:

a. Copy of the latest Form B with tax payment receipt or CP02 attached/the latest EPF statement

b. Copy of audited financial statement/Profit and Loss account

c. Copy of Business Registration Form

Important Note: HSBC reserves the right to request additional income documents as deemed necessary.

Am I qualified to apply for HSBC Amanah Personal Financing-i if I'm blacklisted?

Depending on your credit history with other financial institutions because all this information (outstanding credit card, personal loan, home loan or car loan debts) will be captured in CCRIS/CTOS (a system that collects credit information on borrowers, not blacklisting them).

Assuming you have poor credit standing due to irregular payments, the best course would be to break the habit and start making your payments on time to avoid future hurdles.

HSBC Amanah is more likely to approve your HSBC Amanah Personal Financing-i application if you can show that you are managing your personal finances, rather than accumulating more debt.
