Unusually for retiree loans RHB Pensioner Personal Financing-i for Private lets you borrow up to RM100,000 for periods between three and ten years. The maximum amount you can borrow is linked to your monthly income form your state pension.
How much does this personal loan cost?
There are no processing fees for this personal loan. You will need to pay a nominal Stamp Duty fee of RM10 and a brokerage fee of RM50. You must take Takaful insurance cover with this loan, either from RHB or from a third party insurance agent.
What do I need to apply for this personal loan?
There is no requirement to pay a deposit when you apply for this RHB personal loan. You will need to supply some personal documents with your application form:
- Copy of MyKad (front and back).
- Two copies of Malaysia Government Pensioner Card or Army Pensioner Card.
- Pensioner statement (JPA) or Ledger Pensioner (JHEV) and latest bank statement.
How do I get my hands on the money?
RHB takes a few business days to turn around your loan application. Once your loan is approved funds will be disbursed to the account of your choice.
How do I pay the money back?
Your repayment schedule will be detailed in your application approval document. In most cases payments begin the month following the date you receive your loan and continue at monthly intervals until the loan has been completely repaid.
Can I pay my RHB Personal Loan off early?
You can settle your loan whenever you want. There are no penalty fees for early termination of your loan. You may receive an Ibra’ rebate against the uncharged interest on the total loan amount.

Yes, this loan product conforms to the Commodity Murabahah and Tawarruq Syariah principles.
