All Malaysian citizens and permanent residents can apply for one basic savings account, either as an individual or a joint account with another person. 

No introducer or guarantor is required, and and anyone over the age of 12 years can open an account. You'll even get complimentary bankcard for fast withdrawals.

How much do I need to deposit to open this account?

You only need to deposit RM20 to open an Affin Bank Basic Savings account. Sure, you'll have to maintain a minimum balance RM10 per month to avoid being penalised by charges, but we hope you can manage to save at least ten ringgit.
