What is Agrobank Perdana-i about?
Agro Perdana-i is a savings account based on Shariah law (Qard) that can be opened easily with a minimum deposit of RM20 for individual accounts, RM1,000 for escrow accounts, or RM100 for non-individual or individual accounts for non-citizens. Meanwhile, employees of government agencies don't require a deposit to open an Agro Perdana-i savings account.

- Individual accounts: RM20 minimum
- Individual accounts (non-citizen): RM50 minimum

How do I earn profits from my savings?
Agro Perdana-i savings account offers a tiered profit rate based on how much you save in the account. The more money you deposit into your savings account daily, the higher the profit rate you will earn.
The profit rates are calculated daily and will be credited to your account monthly.
You also have the option to make your Agrobank Perdana-i savings account a payroll account. This way, you may earn a higher profit on your savings!
Which type of savings account should I open?
There are 2 types of savings accounts you can open with Agro Perdana-i:
- Agro Perdana-i with Passbook: requires a minimum initial deposit of RM20, with a minimum balance not being less than RM10 (Malaysians) or RM50 (non-Malaysians)
- Agro Perdana-i with Statement: requires a minimum initial deposit of RM20, with a minimum balance not being less than RM100.
Is it safe to put my money in this savings account?
Putting your money away in a bank is relatively safer than hiding it in your house. Also, you will earn profits on your savings!
However, Agrobank is not a member of PIDM as it is a development financial institution that is meant to develop and promote key sectors of the economy.
