Tell me about BSN Skim Galakan Simpanan Pelajar.
BSN Skim Galakan Simpanan Pelajar is a savings scheme in the format of competition, whereby accountholders of BSN GIRO savings/-i account can participate and can be in the running to win attractive cash prizes.
This competition is held throughout the year and divided into 2 categories: (1) Individual: primary and secondary school students, and (2) School. The winner for both categories will be based on the annual savings performance.
A selection of panel, comprising external judges from the Ministry of Finance and BSN internal judges, will look at these metrics when picking out the Individual winners:
- Average savings balance
- Average net growth savings
- Savings frequency during the competition year
How to qualify for savings competition?
First, you need to open a GIRO/-i savings account with BSN and then complete the Skim Galakan Simpanan Pelajar Participation Form by filling in your Full Name, GIRO Account No. and School Code.
Next, just make an initial deposit of RM10 into your savings account. Congratulations, you have already enrolled for the Individual category.
Who can apply this savings account?
This savings account can be opened by all Malaysian school students aged between 7 to 17 years old. However, students from private schools are not qualified to enter BSN Skim Galakan Simpanan Pelajar savings competition.

Absolutely. In fact, all BSN's deposit products are guaranteed by the Malaysian government.
