What is the BSN GIRO-i Savings Account-i (Children)?
BSN offers the GIRO Islamic account for children, to complement those catered to both teenagers and adults. The great thing about this account is that children can also enjoy earning profits when they choose to save.
Even better, any primary school children can open an account with only RM10 - it might cost them their weekly lunch allowance, but it's for their own good!
What other features does this junior savings account offer?
A passbook may be issued to the account holder upon account opening. You can help manage a child's savings by keeping track of past banking transactions with the passbook, as well as an account statement.
Who is eligible to open this savings account?
This is a savings account for made children, so the applicant should be between 7 and 12 years old, with a parent or legal guardian as a Joint Account holder.
For children aged below 7 years old, a Trust Account can be set up with a parent or legal guardian 18 years old and above. All that is needed is an initial minimum deposit of RM10, which is also the amount needed to properly maintain your BSN GIRO-i Savings Account-i (Children).
