What do I need to know about CIMB Basic Savings Account?

This is a basic savings account where you can save and earn interest at minimal costs, protected by PIDM. CIMB bank allows you to access Internet banking using CIMB Clicks to make banking transactions conveniently anywhere and anytime.

How can I keep track of my account balances?

The bank will issue complimentary monthly statement for account holders if there are more than 20 transactions in the month. Otherwise, a quarterly statement will be given.

Am I eligible for this savings account?

This account is open to all the Malaysians and permanent residents aged 18 and above, either as an individual account holder or as a joint account with another person.You are required to deposit a minimum amount of RM20 to open, and remember to bring along some identification - your NRIC or passport would be great!

Are they any other fees and charges?

There is no ATM issuance fee, however, you are required to pay an annual fee of RM8 to enjoy unlimited ATM withdrawals and OTC use. 

If you lose your CIMB bankcard, you are required to pay RM12 for a replacement.
