What is a CIMB Islamic Senior Savings Account-i?

CIMB Islamic Senior Savings Account-i is a shariah-compliant product, following the principle of Tawarruq vis-a-vis Commodity Murabahah and protected by PIDM.

It is a passbook-based savings account whereby account statement are made available online via CIMB Clicks.

In line with online banking, CIMB Islamic bank allows you to manage your finances anytime, whether it's at home or on your phone. You can view account balances, pay bills, transfer funds and more with a click of a button.

What benefits can I get from this Senior Savings Account-i by CIMB Islamic?

Your savings account comes with the option to opt for a CIMB ATM or Debit card withdrawal limit up to RM10,000!

How much do I need to deposit to open this account?

As this is a passbook savings account, the minimum initial deposit is RM500.

Am I eligible to apply for CIMB Islamic Senior Savings Account-i?

For an individual savings account, you will have to be a minimum of 50 years old and a Malaysian citizen or a Permanent Resident of Malaysia.

If you would like to open a Joint Account, you can do so provided that one of you is aged 50 years old and above.

Don't forget to bring along your identification card (NRIC) or passport upon application at the bank.

Are there any other fees and charges?

In the event you lost your passbook, there will be a charge of RM20 for a replacement. The charge is inclusive of Stamp Duty on Letter of Indemnity.

In terms of your Debit Card, there is an annual fee of RM15 and a charge of RM12 for replacement.
