What is the CIMB Wadiah Savings Account-i?
This Wadiah Savings account, is a Syariah compliant savings account that adopts the Islamic concept of Wadiah in its dealings. What if I didn’t want to do Online Banking?
You can of course make your cash withdrawals through ATM facilities with your ATM card cum debit card, the CIMB Debit MasterCard and to make banking transactions over-the-counter ( OTC) without going online.
In order to check your account balance as well as the past banking transactions, the passbook facility is made available for this account. Another way to keep track of your account is the statement that the bank sends to you monthly or quarterly.
Am I eligible to open this savings account?
As long as you are an individual aged between 18 and 50, you are eligible to open this account singly or jointly, open to either residents or non-residents. The societies, clubs and associations can also apply the account.
What are the requirements?
It's pretty easy for new account registration. All you need - minimum initial deposit of RM250 for statement savings account; or RM500 for an account with a free passbook.
Documents needed are Identification Card or passport, as well as a copy of utility bill for address verification.
Are there any fees and charges?
Once the card is issued to you, a cost of RM8 is on you. You are also required to pay ATM card fee at RM8.48 annually. If you would like to replace your ATM card, the bank will charge RM12 from your account, while the passbook replacement will be at the cost of RM20.
Even the statement is given you complimentary every month or quarter, additional statement request will cost you RM10.60 per request.
