What do I need to know about CIMB PETRONAS Savers Account?
CIMB PETRONAS Savers Account is an interest-bearing deposit account where the money sitting in this account is insured under Perbadanan Insurans Deposit Malaysia (PIDM) for up to RM250,000.
What is so unique about this savings account?
This savings account is in partnership with PETRONAS whereby an exclusive CIMB PETRONAS Debit Mastercard will issued to you upon opening of this account.
With every spend on PETRONAS using this designated debit card, whether filling in your car tank and/or buying snacks at the Mesra store, you will earn cash rebates of up to 2%.
All you need to do is maintain an average monthly balance of RM3,000 and above. However, if you have less than RM3,000 in your account, don’t worry, as you are still entitled to a cash rebate of 1%.

What are the fees and charges I need to pay?
There are several important fees and charges you need to take heed of such as RM20 for the closing of an account within 3 months of its opening, RM12 for the replacement of your lost, stolen or broken debit card and last but not least, RM18 annual fee on your CIMB PETRONAS Debit Mastercard.
Who can apply for this savings account?
Any Malaysians, permanent residents and foreigners who have reached 18 years old can open a CIMB PETRONAS Savers Account, provided they have a minimum deposit of RM250.
