What is this savings account all about?
As the name suggests, this is a savings account made exclusively for your little bundle of joy. It's never too early to teach your kids the value of saving - think about the money you need to spend on their college fees!
Best of all, you would never expect interest rates for a junior savings account to be as high as a 1-month's fixed deposit, but it really does have good rates! Will I get bonus interest every month?
Yes, but there's a catch - you're not allowed to withdraw your cash within the month and earn more when you deposit more!
How does it work? Like a conventional Savings Account, you will earn 3.15% on your usual balance - only when you don't withdraw any cash during the month will you earn the extra interest!
If your balance for the month is between RM50 to RM200 more compared to your prior month balance, you'll get an extra 0.1%, 0.2% if your average monthly balance grow by RM201 to RM1,000, and a high of 0.4% if your average monthly balance growth is at least RM1,000.

Yes, there are more benefits along with this savings account! With an initial minimum deposit amount of RM200, a coin box will be given to your kids for free. Now, your kids can save the pocket money in that coin box for depositing in the bank later.
With RHB-Easy Junior Savings account, your kids are entitled for FREE personal accident insurance too. The benefits include RM20,000 for accidental death and permanent disablement, RM1,000 of funeral expenses and RM1,000 of medical expenses. All you need to do is just to maintain the account balance at a minimum of RM1,000.
Who are eligible to apply this account?
Malaysians below 18 can own this account. There are 3 types of this account. For teens between age of 12 and 18, they can open this account individually. For those who below 12 years are only eligible to open in-trust accounts with one parent or guardian aged 18 and above.
For a joint account, one of the account holders must be Malaysians aged between 12 and 18 together with a parent or guardian.
Are withdrawals allowed with this RHB-Easy Junior Savings?
Yes, the cash withdrawal can only be made at counter of any RHB or RHB Islamic Bank branches. Completed withdrawal form and MyKad identification needed to be present for withdrawal.
