What is Ezy-Secure?
Ezy-Secure, is a term-life protection plan offered by Etiqa Insurance to protect you and your loved ones, if anything were to happen to you, resulting in death or total permanent disability.
Family is important and you, regardless of who you are, play an important role in your family, with this plan you can ensure that they are your first priority. Ezy-Life Secure ensures that 100% of your sum assured will be granted to your family when the time comes that they need it.
What does my coverage look like?
The policy comes with coverage for both death due to natural causes, as well as total and permanent disability. Both benefits will activate a 100% pay-out of your chosen sum assured.
Coverage for Death will extend to your 80th birthday if not sooner. However, the coverage for Total and Permanent Disability is only available to you till your 45th birthday.
You have the option of going for a coverage of RM50,000 all the way up to RM200,000. You can increase your benefit amount in intervals of RM10,000 whenever you need to.
How do I become eligible for Ezy-Secure?
Simple. Since this is an insurance policy that wants to encourage planning ahead, the minimum age for you to be eligible is 21. Anyone from 21 up to the age of 45 can purchase the policy, after which you can keep renewing it up to the age of 80.
The approval of the application will take into consideration the general state of your health as well.
What about the premiums?
The premiums for this policy will be determined upon your application, depending on what you want your sum assured to be. Not to worry, the premiums are fixed throughout the duration of your tenure and will not change.
Aside from that, you will have the option of either paying a monthly premium or an annual premium.
Is there a penalty for late payments?
If you’re always forgetting to pay your premiums, don’t worry. There is still have a 31-day grace period from your payment due date for you to make your payments.
However, if you keep missing out on your payments, Etiqa is at liberty to terminate your term-life policy prematurely. So maybe set reminders and pick payment plan that works best with your schedule and lifestyle.
