What is the Chubb First all about?
The Chubb first is a comprehensive travel insurance plan that works for everyone. It doesn’t matter where you’re going or when you’re getting there, taking the extra precautions with a travel insurance is always a good idea.
What does it cover exactly?
Fortunately, this insurance covers quite a bit, everything from personal accidents to your run of the mill travel inconveniences. This coverage takes care of hospital expenses and emergency transportation both domestically and internationally.
If you have lost your luggage, or missed a flight, Chubb looks out for your best interest with its overall coverage.
How do I make a claim?
You will need to lodge a formal report to which over relevant organization that applies to the situation you are in. If you had lost your luggage or missed a flight connection, then lodge a report with the airlines and keep a few copies of that report. If it was an accident, a police report is required.
Then have your legal representative hand in a written notice to Chubb as so as possible or within 30 days of the event that prompted the claim occurred. Download and fill in the claim form for your claims to be processed.
Eligibility for this Policy?
This policy is open to anyone over the age of 18 if you are Malaysian or a Permanent Resident of Malaysia. It is also open to any holder of a valid Malaysian Work Permit, Employment Pass, Dependent Pass, Long-Term Social Visit Pass, or a valid Student Visa holder.
If you wish to insure not just yourself but your spouse as well, then they too must meet the same conditions as mentioned above.
Finally any child you would like to cover under the policy must be more than 30 days old and not more than 18 years old. If your child is pursuing a recognized tertiary education then they can be covered up to the maximum age of 23.
Can I cancel my policy?
Sure, you can, however, you will need to submit a written notice to Chubb Insurance Malaysia Berhad. Your cancellation notice must be submitted at least 30 days prior to cancellation. For Single Trip plan cancellations, please note that no refund of premiums paid will be issued.
In the case of annual plan cancellations, if no claims are made during the policy term, a short rate refund might apply depending on the plan you choose. Therefore, remember to confirm all policy details with your insurance agent.
