What is the Chubb First all about?
The Chubb first is a comprehensive travel insurance plan that works for everyone. It doesn’t matter where you’re going or when you’re getting there, taking the extra precautions with a travel insurance is always a good idea. It provides compensation for any events that might occur covered under this policy during whilst you are travelling during the coverage period of the insurance.
How much does it cover?
A lot. Chubb first covers almost all situations that could occur on an overseas trip, for a full list of benefits and the coverage sums, refer to the table above that breaks down what you are covered for and how much you are covered for each event.
How do the premiums work?
Premium rates for this plan will follow the table above almost to a T. However, premium rates for Worldwide travel will vary slightly depending on where you are headed. Chubb breaks down its travel zones into 3 parts
Zone 1: Asia and South East Asia, excluding Tibet, Cuba and Mongolia (Inner and Outer)
Zone 2: All countries, excluding USA, Canada, Middle East, Tibet, Cuba, Mongolia (Inner and Outer)
Zone 3: All countries, excluding Cuba.
Rates displayed in the table are for Zone 1 and 3. If you are travelling overseas but according to the restrictions of Zone 2, meaning you are not going to the USA, Canada, Middle East, Tibet, Cuba and Mongolia (Inner and Outer), then the following table displays the premiums rates you will be paying:

Premiums displayed are for travel periods of up to 38 days. Please be advised that Chubb First does cover travel periods of longer than the displayed times.
How do I make a claim?
In the event of an occurrence that will require for you to make a claim, simply have your legal representative submit a written notice to Chubb as soon as possible or within 30 days of the event that prompted the claim occurred. Download and fill in the claim form and submit them to Travelclaims.MY@chubb.com for your claims to be processed.
Eligibility for this Policy?
This policy is open to anyone over the age of 18 if you are Malaysian or a Permanent Resident of Malaysia. It is also open to any holder of a valid Malaysian Work Permit, Employment Pass, Dependent Pass, Long-Term Social Visit Pass, or a valid Student Visa holder.
If you wish to insure not just yourself but your spouse as well, then they too must meet the same conditions as mentioned above.
Finally any child you would like to cover under the policy must be more than 30 days old and not more than 18 years old. If your child is pursuing a recognized tertiary education then they can be covered up to the maximum age of 23.
Can I cancel my policy?
Yes you can cancel your policy by submitting a written notice to Chubb. Please do take note that for Single Trip coverage no refund of premiums paid will be entertained once policy is issued.
For annual plans as well, you can cancel the policy by submitting a written notice to Chubb, provided no claims had been made during the period of insurance. For these cancellations, a short rate refund applies.
