Who can apply for this plan?
Anyone really, if you are over the age of 18 you are definitely eligible for it as an individual. However, this is an individual only plan. So, those of you who want to apply as a family, you might want to look at the Kurnia plans that cater to families specifically.
If however, for short single trips, you would like to include your child into the plan you can for an additional premium. The condition is that your child must be more than 30 days old up to the age of 23 if they are still studying.
What does it cover?
As mentioned it covers what you need the most, including death and permanent disability. Other than that, it takes care of your medical expenses and hospital fees should anything happen to you while you are away on vacation.
Since it is a travel insurance plan, you are covered in case of any pesky travel inconveniences. Such as, loss of luggage, money and passports. You can also make claims for travel delays and hijacking as well as third party liability while you are overseas.
How long am I covered for?
Well that depends greatly on your travel period, the premiums for this plan are broken up into week segments. So you can buy the insurance for a minimum of 7 days, and go up to a maximum of 31 days. It is entirely up to you.
No matter where you’re going near of far the coverage is the same and you can always extend your stay by a week with the payment of some small additional premiums.
