Who is eligible to apply for Lonpac's Travel Net Silver?
Whether you are traveling alone or with family, there is definitely something here to fit your needs. To sign up with this policy, you need to be at least 16 years old to apply. There is not max age coverage, however, your coverage will be halved after the age 70.
If you are traveling with your family, the minimum age for a dependent child to be insured is at least 6 months to a maximum of 25 years old.

Lonepac Travelnet offer 24 hours assistance that is just a call away, should you need any medical or emergency assistance. This policy includes benefits for medical expenses, emergency travel for your family, accident and injury due to accident, travel inconveniences, household damages, and even coverage in the event of a hijacked plane! Gasp! Domestic trips can be covered under this policy but only limited to trip from East Malaysia to West Malaysia and the other way round.
This plan is a cheaper alternative to Lonpac Travel Net Gold. Although it offers a lower insured amount, you will still be entitled to the same level of protection.
What is the main difference between the annual plan and single trip option?
The annual plan is great for the frequent traveller. For those who travel back and forth within Asia (excluding South East Asia) either for leisure or business, the annual plan will be the most cost-effective plan, with a premium of only RM255 - you get to travel as many times as you want throughout the year!
On the other hand, a single trip plan works best for those who travel only once or twice a year, with premiums as cheap as RM26 for a 3 day trip.
Can I claim for treatment at a hospital overseas?
Yes, but only if your condition is the result of a sickness or accident while on your travels - only then will you be able to submit a claim for your medical expenses abroad. Self-inflicted injuries will not apply.
What kind of personal liability is covered for this policy?
This policy protects you against accidental injury, losses, or damages inflicted on the property of a third party for up to RM500,000. But that's no reason to be reckless in a foreign land!
