IT Support Technician


About You

Jirnexu has built into the leading marketplace for financial products in Malaysia. We develop marketing strategies and technology solutions for our banking and insurance industry clients. We’re looking for a skilled Technician to provide fast and effective support to our company. As a help desk specialist, you'll respond to queries through messaging channels and over the phone, assess and diagnose computer hardware and software problems, and provide effective solutions. Role is 50% remote and 50% office based (Bangsar South, KL)

Your Day-to-Day

  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
  • Diagnosing and solving computer software and hardware faults
  • Managing user access to systems and shared accounts
  • Maintaining records of software licenses
  • Maintaining stock of computer hardware and other supplies
  • Advising users on best practices to use their hardware or software
  • Helping users to properly report bugs to internal or external teams
  • Manage billing and control of third-party tool subscriptions for payment processing

Your Know How

  • Familiar with network and switch configuration (Cisco or equivalent)
  • Familiar with installation, configuration and administration of Windows, Mac, Linux computers
  • Experience with VoIP is very nice to have, but not essential, we’ll teach you
