About You

RinggitPlus is looking for a Senior Business Analyst with a passion for Data Analytics and Business Intelligence.

Join Malaysia’s most prominent fintech company where you will apply your skills to our (large) internal and external data sets to analyse and capture insights in Credit Scoring and Decisioning, Propensity Modelling and Portfolio performance.

You’ll enjoy deriving trends, behaviours and recommendations from Digital Sales Analytics and Channel Performance Management to support top-line growth and cost optimisation.

Work to translate our data into actionable insights to empower Malaysians to access better and more accurate digital financial products and services - all with the goal of helping make money simple for Malaysians.

Your Day-to-Day

• Scorecard Optimisation – Use RinggitPlus application stream, customer, and credit bureau data to optimise eligibility scorecards.
• Product Recommendation – Facilitate data-driven risk ranking of Banks and Products for Portfolio cross-sell and up-sell strategies.
• Analytics and Performance - Design and maintain departmental analytics and performance dashboards - be it sales, customer segments, marketing or operations performance - to identify and capture critical trends and key business metrics.
• Business Intelligence – Provide both short and long-term data-driven recommendations and answer key business questions to drive our Bottom Line.
• Data Visualisation - Run data mining and data visualisation tasks, identifying risks and opportunities for the business.
• Data Projects – Dive into our data to identify opportunities and/or address data quality problems.

Your Know-How

• Bachelor in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related fields.
• 3-5 years of work experience in a similar Data, Business Analytics, or Business Intelligence role.
• Advanced SQL expertise, ability to write complex queries spanning over multiple databases and foreign keys, based on a simple high-level brief.
• Working experience with Python ETL scripting to automate complex data sources into a format that is easily manipulated and analysed. Experience with Apache Parquet is a bonus.
• Proficiency with common data visualisation tools, such as Google Data Studio, AWS Quicksight, Tableau or Power BI.
• Industry familiarity with Data Structures, Customer Lifecycle and value maximisation models. Experience working with Credit Models is a bonus.
• Problem hunter (and solver, of course), looking for issues which can be solved with data by analysing root causes, developing hypotheses, and testing regularly to prove mitigation or resolution.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment, with an aptitude for analytics and quantitative problem-solving skills.
• Savant-like ability to communicate complex ideas – both verbally and in writing – in English.
• Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
